Yes spodding works as intended but after a short wait you get a flurry of activity then it slows down to a crawl and you need to add to it to keep it going, PVA mesh alone is superior in my opinion and far more economical.Ħ. PVA mesh is my favorite method and in my opinion seems to work the best, or at least is the most consistent when compared to the others, however if you can spare the groundbait it won't hurt to spod as well but it's not needed. Pop ups are designed for bottoms with grass or weed cover, sinking are designed for bottoms without cover, I've not noticed one or the other drifting except for before the bugs were patched.Īnd to be honest I don't think it really matters much as I've had equal luck using both in all bottom types.Ģ.
The original problem with drift was a bug with rod stands and another with sinkers, if you are using a heavy enough sinker drift won't be a problem at this point. Should I only be using these two lines with my carp rigs or can I use my usual Fluro?ħ. Green & red Mono/Braid that I got with the carp lord pack. so I'm testing with a weight for the deeper parts by hand.

Does spodding work correctly? A few videos I've watched on YouTube have mentioned being unsure whether the mechanic is working. Should we be spodding even when using these?ģ. If the line or tackle is drifting, would it have anything to do with the type of bait? Like, sinking pellets might stay put, but pop-up ones might drift?Ģ.
